The rehearsal dinner will be on Friday, 18 June. For Saturday, the ceremony will be at the NAS Whidbey Island chapel (the base chapel in Oak Harbor) beginning at 2:30pm. Following the ceremony, we're going to wrap up our pictures and then the reception will be at the CPO Club. Hors d'oeuvres at 4:00pm, then an early dinner at 5:00pm (we have to be out of the chapel by 4:30pm). We'll put up more details here as we get them.
We'll be blocking off a few rooms at a couple local hotels. If folks can start thinking of where they want to stay -- pasture, paddock, or hotel -- we can try to make sure there's enough room in each. Please note we won't be making the reservations, however -- we want to be sure everyone is precisely where they want to be, so we'll leave that up to you all individually.
We are thinking of one nice, big, catered BBQ dinner toward the beginning of the week, obviously not to conflict with the wedding. Participants will be asked to chip in a per-head amount ahead of time, although we don't yet have numbers for you. We hope to have enough attending so it will be quite reasonably priced for all. We want to see you all there!
We'd like to work it out so the senior (or "original") Colliers are treated to this, as a small thanks from their juniors for all they've endured over the years!
Our general concept is to keep things simple, casual, and relaxed. However, if anyone would like to plan a small presentation or performance, please feel free! Just let us know ahead of the party, so we can make sure everyone has plenty of time.
